It's good to see you have been able to stick at guitar for more than a month or two, it means you are likely to continue playing at least some musical instrument for a very long time. That first two or three months is the big decider, so if you keep practising everyday for 3 months and you still enjoy it.. there's no reason why you shouldn't be playing, regardless of your skill level, in 30 years time as well.

I just fiddled around for the first few months and didn't really have a clue what I was doing.. I could play bits and pieces of songs but I didn't understand the music at all.. then I went and learnt some scales and intermediate chords afterwards and that's all I really needed for many years..

Now I am back to learning again, on this website, 16 years later and I realise I still have LOTS AND LOTS to learn.
