guitar tabs

hey. im kind of new to rock on my guitar. my grandpa taugt me so i kind of only know old country and that kind of stuff. hes 70, he learned when he was like 12. he plays wht he learned... so im basically stuck with that kind of stuff. but i want to start getting into rock. but i cannot understand how to read tabs...
