That should work. The song is something along the lines of "July GT Solo" something clever like that.

I voted for Weslaba this time, mainly because of the tone he used throughout the piece. Nice, thick, silky tone that really made his jazzy style work with the backing track. It was a hard choice between all of them but in the end, the attention to detail (ie. tone and style) that Weslaba has accomplished was the kicker for me this time.

I went w/ z0s0 mainly because I can't vote for myself. :D But in all seriousness it sounded good, and then the close second being equator. The models just weren't hot ENOUGH to get ya the vote this time. :D

I voted for Weslaba, he just had the best feel for the track I felt.

BCN came second for me.

seazer had some licks that really worked well, but the solo just felt a little disjointed, as well as the mix being bad (I dunno if I should be counting that against it, but it did hamper my enjoyment of it).

seazer: Make sure you particpate in this month's solo assignment, I'd like to hear you.

Will do julian ,axetually what you hear on the mp3 upload is not what I heard in my room that night .I know not to try and pass off some half arsed unmixed unheard job to you guys next time. I have loaded up Sonar and will give this month a good shot.

I voted for wes also, as soon as I heard it once I knew it was a winner.

I feel like I don't have a right to Vote or critique on ones work when I didn't post a track myself. I don't even know where to start with recording software in order to post something anyway. So I give all of you kudos just being able to post something, whether it's in key or not.

With that said, my vote goes to Julian for his July backing track. I played over it at least 30 times (now I can't find it) and it actually inspired me and gave the desire in learning how to record on a PC.
Great job Julian, I played over a couple of previous tracks (more bluesy stuff) but it just wasn't enough to move me into recording something.
Keep up the good work and inspiration.

Great stuff all round as usual.

I was torn - Weslaba played a great lead... my vote went to Equator though, that take was the one I enjoyed listening to most - completely different to the others.
Can you play "Far Far Away?"

Yes - how far would you like?
