im currently looking at putting together a studio in my home, and i want to have some decent speakers to hear it through! From what i have read, the only noticeable diffrence is tht studio monitors give you a rawer sound than and amp and speakers, which can sometimes maybe enrichen it!
As i have never used them i dont know of this! Could some one put me straight if i am wrong,
Thanks very much!!!
Why doesn't my amp go up to 11, :(

I always try and consider that the finished product will be listened to (by others) through decent headphones or crappy computer speakers. This in mind... nobody is gonna listen to your track through an amp, so studio monitors might be the way to go. Just my 2 cents. It's my dream to get a killer studio setup in my house (when and if I get my own house  ) Anyways... good luck with the studio man.
