In 1962, Jim Marshall's first amp to hit the scene was the JTM45. Although, it wore the Marshall badge, and was very popular, it was basically a copy of another quite famous amp. What was this amp and it's manufacturer?

The answer to your question is the Fender Bassman. The circuit is nearly identical. Jim did a little differences in the tone stack as I recall.
