man...its hard to say....i guess songwriting is pretty much abt your status quo...or imagination...what works for me is daydreaming (yeah i have heaps of time on hand i know)...but yea...some people really love day dreaming and putting their thoughts into words...so that could work...theres never only one way of writing songs or music...maybe you should take some ime off and just relax, clear your mind and see whatever that comes into your mind that inspires you....

Well, I myself just snagged a job watching endangered birds on the beach, so I can predict a lot of song writing will occur in the near future. :rolleyes:
