Yes, that's right, I am now in what is becoming a band - I guess you'd call us "prog metal", but we ain't even close to Dream Theatre, Queensryche, Symphony X et al. We're more influenced by psychedelic blues-rock, folk and Sabbath-style metal - a little like Opeth, but without the death metal, and a bit more theatrical. But anyway, we've been working on a raft of songs, and trying to think of what to call ourselves. On the weekend, we came up with what we thought was gold - Triggerhead! Unfortunately, we later discovered that there is already a band by that name from the UK - they're on Myspace, and they look pretty popular. But we all loved Triggerhead as a name and it suited us perfectly, until we became aware after the fact that it was taken. My question is: should we think of another name, and if so, got any suggestions? Or should we stick with Triggerhead (or make some kind of superficial change to the name), and be prepared to face the possible legal consequences in this, the age of Myspace?
