I don't watch much soccer, but my brother does like its his job. He plants himself in front of the TV and puts on Premiership soccer all day. I must say though, it's really quite fun to watch. I always get sucked in and can't leave. Some really good teams in the league too. Chelsea being one of my faves. :cool:

No, Football involves 300 Lb. Animals that make $10,000,000 + and tackle their opponents with fierce vengence, With nicknames like "The Bus", "Refrigerator" and "Sweetness"............
Soccer is a bunch of Blokes running around bouncing balls off their heads who can still walk after they retire with a constant headache.
Football = NFL

Yeah, it's called football down in South America too.
***sarcastically: Why do you call football to that game? Just because you play with your feet? :rolleyes: ***
I'll be watching both. USA is playing in both tournaments and Ecuador is playing in the Copa America.

They sound pretty similar Dvenetian!
Lets be honest here...the football players (that's soccer) are also pretty hard on the tackiling, earn a ****load ( Gerrard of Liverpool is earning 100 000 Pounds a week) and have stupid names...(anyone remember Gazza?)
In soccer, they use their feet...hence "FOOTBALL"

Don't some regions refer to it as "Futball"???
The NFL uses the foot on occasion to kick the ball (Foot-Ball)
Shouldn't Soccer be considered Feetball or maybe Headbangers Ball?
Who's Gazza? Is he a monster like "Mean Joe Green"?
Check out how small the Coke bottle looks when it's in his hand from this old Coke commercial....... and then to guzzle it in one sweep........................ Wow,,, Thanks Mean Joe................

Gazza is Paul Gascoigne. He's a former England footballer with quite a temper on him.
