Um... alright. Just a quicky here. Let me know what you think. I have a microphone now so I may actually be able to record some of this stuff even though my equipment is extremely limited and my guitar in the shop.

This one I actually have music in my head for, so I may record a quick version of it in the next week or so. This one is a little darker I think, but I hope you enjoy, please comment.

Turn The Lights off
Im coming down
I've got the right to
another round
I'm gonna draw out
a little blood
I'm gonna saw off
the infected [this line is out of rhythm on purpose]

Now there's two lights left
In the one dead sky
and there's an angel right above me
telling me I'm gonna die
but I'm killing myself
cause I'm killing you too
and you better hope the end comes
before I get through
because I'm taking out the garbage
and throwing out the trash
and I'm losing all my senses
and I'm losing my way back
But I can't stop now
there's no end in sight
because I'm killing myself
and I'm welcoming the night

So..

Turn down the lights
I'm coming in
There is a place
in the attic
where I've never been
its where you are
it's where you'll be
it's where I'll cut out
and where I will bleed
it's all that I have
and all that I am
to stop you from taking
all that you can
so shut the **** up
no words form the dead
no secrets to hide
no light to shed
you've been there too long
you know way too much
you learned all you could
and betrayed all my trust
so now it's the end
you have nothing to say
I've already stopped listening
I'm already away
I can't let you out
I can't take the risk
so I'm killing the sun
and I'm not gonna miss
I'm making us one
and then I'm making us none
and I'm killing us both
and your dying with me
because the end ends here
and there's nothing to fear
so get ready to die
get ready I'm here

I'd leave out the F word if it were me. I just think its just as easy to write lyrics without obscenity as it is to write lyrics with them. Plus bands that say the F-word too much are really turning lame now.

I didn't have it in there originally, but it fit better. the only reason I can see not putting in profanity is if you really want your stuff to make it on the radio or something, and my stuff probably isn't gonna be showing up on any radio stations so I think Im safe. I don't swear a lot in my stuff anyway. Only if it makes sense.

Swear words are still words and they have their own meaning and connotation, it's just that some people are scared of them for some reason.

I get what you're saying, but I'd stil take out the F-bomb man. Not that it's a definite for everything, but whenever I hear profanity in a song, I can't take the band seriously. It's just one of those things that determines whether or not I like a band, or atleast one of the first deciding points. I have reason to believe that other people feel the same way. Also, I wouldn't really mind a nice juicy B****, but F*** just crosses the line for me.

Hahaha. Very nice. :)

I tend to agree with him though. The line is supposed to be very forceful and without the "****" it just doesn't do it's job.

I agree that bands who use profanity constantly do lose class, but I still hold that if it needs it there is no reason not to use it, period.
