A sincere apology

I just want to apologise for being a bit of a *censored* over the past few months or so. I haven't been on the forum much, but when I have, I've been rude and arrogant, as at least a few of you have noticed. So I just want to apologise, and I'm going to try to behave more acceptably when I am online. If I don't, send me a pile of negative rep, or tell me that I'm being a jerk, or ban me or something. I really don't want to keep being a source of irritation to the GT community.

Rude, arrogant.....paranoid. :rolleyes: C'mon man, you're like the one of nicest dudes on this forum. I haven't noticed whatsoever.

If something merits a smart ass response, then by all means, be a smart ass. And if something doesn't merit a smart ass response, then by all means, be a smart ass. :D

Sorry dude. Apology not accepted. It's not neccessary (or understood) so unaccepted. Agree with the others. You're one of the most consistently nice folks around here so you kinda got me baffled. :confused:

I wouldn't worry about it. If it was that bad, one of the moderators would have mentioned it by now.

i havent noticed anything at all either...as far as i can remember, this isnt the first time ur apologising for something you didn't do! chill braaahh...and i agree you are one of the nicest ppl around...in fact everyone here is nice...including me...

I've seen people be a bit harsh now and again, myself included, but you have to go pretty far before it's bad... Like Kevin said, the mods would have fixed yer wagon if you were badly out of line.

It takes guts to apologise, so respect due for that - whether it was necessary or not...

I understand if you guys are cynical about this, but I am sincerely trying to apologise for something here. Perhaps you're right, maybe I am paranoid, but I nonetheless feel like I've been pretty unpleasant at times. I've given out negative rep about three times over the past month or two, just on a whim of pique at an offhand comment somebody made. I gave Ravenx495's song a pretty patronising and snobby comment (http://www.guitartricks.com/forum/showthread.php?p=208946#post208946 ) , and I pedantically corrected you, Josh, on one word in your song when it was absolutely brilliant (http://www.guitartricks.com/forum/showthread.php?p=208943#post208943). I took a really authoritative and egotistical tone on a subject I didn't really know much about http://www.guitartricks.com/forum/showthread.php?p=207197#post207197 and made a pretty nasty comment in a thread about someone's favourite band (http://www.guitartricks.com/forum/showthread.php?p=207434#post207434). Not to mention me completely ignoring a bunch of birthdays and welcome threads, and the negative rep thing. Even if you guys say you haven't noticed, I feel like an a-hole, and I felt I needed to try to clear it up. This isn't some cynical self-pitying attempt to get rep and compliments, I'm not that petty. I just wanted to clear things up. But if you say there's nothing to clear up, and laugh it off as an attempt to get rep and preen my ego, I should probably go and get a life.

Dude, it's not that people aren't taking you seriously. The thing is, if people weren't offended or at least not enough to remember, then they've moved past the comments. You should too. Guilt is not healthy man. Heck, we all love ya 'round here. {insert playful chuck on shoulder here} And if there's something bugging you and you need to talk, well, you can do it here in the forum or send me a PM. I'm always a good ear. Actually two good ears. They happen to be attached to my rather large and shiny head! :D
