The only way I can drink beer is to mix it with ginger ale to cover up the taste.
even then I have to chug it and hold my breath so I can't taste it.

I've got a great idea for you. If you want to get drunk buy some orange juice and some everclear (it's basically pure alcohol). Mix them as strongly as you can handle and suck it down. This is the cheapest, tastiest, and almost the most time efficient way of getting hammered there is. The most time efficient method, btw, is mixing everclear and water. I don't recommend that anyone try it ever.
