Im replacing my birdge in my strat with a single coil sized humbucker. I have come to two conclusions lil screamin demon or hot rails. i play very heavy stuff adn want something that will produce fast nice sounding solos and heavy sounding chords when distorted. I know the hot rails has a higher output, but i heard its muddy and the lil screamin demon is a little trebely ive heard, but im new so I dont really understand that. Thanks for your opinions!

I have 3 hotrails in my guitar and I don't think they are muddy. I think the sound very good in the bridge.

Yea ive heard good stuff about the JB Jr too. Is it really good for metal too? Bands like megadeth, static-x, old korn stuff, old metallica, and black sabbath type of stuff.

Hey ive heard that you cant get a good sound out of the JB unless you hook it up to a tone pot and rasie it considerably higher. The lil screamin demon doesnt have these problems, im so confused too many things out there.

Dude, Seymour Duncan JB's are the absolute best you can get for what you're looking for. Every person i asked about pickups is drooling over the JBs. They make both a regular size one, and a single coil size one. I am familiar with the sound, and the are perfect for distortion and heavy sounds, but also nice for cleans and bluesy sounds.

All I can tell you is that when it comes to distortion and pickups, I've heard that EMGs' are the best. That's because they're active, though. I've also heard a lot of good stuff about the Screamin' Demons'. Hell, if George Lynch uses 'em, they gotta be good for metal!

hey...

I got a lil screemin demon in two of my guitars and they sound awesome! I've also heard good things about the jb jr, but from personal experience, I think the lil screemin demon rocks!
