The the slide squeaking sound is kinda necessary for an acoustic guitar to sound 'real'. Unfortunately it's just a little too loud and in the foreground of your mix. That can be fixed by trying to make it quieter whilst playing or going through and reducing the volume at the squeak points (can be painstaking)
Fabulous song by the way. What kind of mic are you using? The vocals could do with like a tiny bit of reverb maybe?
thanks julian...im using a real crappy mic, the generic computer skinny ones...and when i plus my earphones in when i record say, with a metronome or when i solo, i cant seem to hear myself playing thru the mic...any ideas why? there's a few thing i wud like to get for recording but its just too expensive right now for me and since im tight down with uni stuff, makes it harder to get a job...what i wud REALLY like is a drum machine..perhaps i shud have more of a muck arnd with audacity's effects but i dont really trust them cos it had before made my stuff sound way worst..or maybe its just me

yergh, the squeek is br00tal man. it sorta kills the song, which other than that is ace. if you dont press down as hard when sliding, that wont happen as much.
