Amp Suggetions WANTED!!!

Hi there I am currently looking at quite a wide range of amps and cabs and would just like to hear ppls thoughs I play preety much any style, mostly focus on rock,blues and a lil metal. now i know when buying an amp, its a personal thing you have to try it out to see if you will like it etc etc... but i looking to hear about what people have tryed and whats worked for them. Im currently looking at a Peavey JSX, a Marshall JVM410 and possibly a Mesa Triple Rectifier! the price range doesnt matter, what ever it is i will save for it but want to the best!!! lol dont we all!!!! If you have any suggetions what to look out for when trying out the amps and possibly recomend what cabs will go well with them?? Thanks very much

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The best tube amp IMHO is the Hughes and Kettner Triamp. Very flexible and versatile. Great clean sound and super crunch. There is a head on ebay atm (not mine) for $2499 buy it now. Not a terrible price.

You're already on the right track with the amps you stated. Out of those, I would go for the new Marshall and it's matching cab. I don't have any personal experience with it, but from the clips and videos and reviews I've seen/read, it is an amazing amp.

Some other amps you might want to check out...

- Peavey Windsor (it's a single channel amp, but has lots and lots of tones tucked inside. Plus, you can't beat it's price!)
- Peavey 6505 or 6505+ (formerly the 5150 series)
- Mesa Boogie Stiletto (I believe it has more of a Marshall/British vibe than the rectifiers)
- Traynor YCS100H
- Carvin and Laney also make some great tube amps, but I have no experience with either company

Try out a Marshall JCM 800 if you haven't already..

I'n very happy with my Line 6 spider- it has lots of channels and features, including distortion , echo and delay

For clear tones and blues like crazyness... Check out Two-Rock Signatures. All handbuilt.

Peep the Hughes & Kettner Tri Amp...

Can't go wrong with a JCM with the proper tubes and speakers.

Genz Benz... anything.

Traynor has some kick ass tube amps for decent prices...

.... it all depends on what you're into though. i could name a bunch of amps that I like but that doens't mean you'll dig on them...

I have an Ibanez Thermion head, and it's great. I know Ibanez aren't really recognised for their amps, but this, the first tube amp they've ever released, is an amazing amp, with top not components.

I know it;s not a prestigious name to have on your amp, but you'd be doing yourselve a disservice not to check it out.

That said, if money is not object, I dont think you can beat a Diezel Herbert, except maybe with a Diezel VH4
