So this has been my finals week up at school. I'll have an associates degree after this year but I'm going into music as of next year, so getting through this conservation degree at this point has been more a less a hassle as opposed to actually working for anything. I've taken field exams, slide show identification tests, regular old exams, and practical exams. 3 of which I probably did rather poorly on.

So today I go back in my roomies room with a pb&j and asked him if he was studying. He's sittin there watchin porn and says "..tryin to". I then said something that nearly brought me tears in laughter a few minutes later.

"We suck at studying."

This is a problem that I identified with 1 friggin test left after 2 years of education. What in God's name kind of retard am I?

Sorry, the irony of it all was just too much for me to handle by myself. So I figured I'd share.

*Heres to doing it right in the future and not giving it a half assed job. :)

I can't study for ****....Im supposed to be studying right now for my biggest exam that I have on Friday, but I decided to turn on my computer instead. My book is right next to me, and I know if I don't study I will fail the course, but I CANT DO IT! I just can't make the effort to stop getting distracted, and just sit down and study.

Wasn't really the point I was making, but I'm sure you're right.

I just thought it was hilarious that it took us up until 1 test left to determine such an obvious fact. More comical than anything.

Ignorance is the absence of knowledge. This may be successfully treated by education.

Don't be stupid! Suck it up, son - it will never again be as easy to go to school as it is right now. Trust me on this - you do not want to look back on this time and wish that you had done the best you could have done!

I've vowed to turn over a new leaf. I've bs'd and procrastinated long enough and realize its time to grow up and quit being stupid. Perhaps even some ambition would be healthy... Music is gonna be fun and interesting. Especially with my growing interest in finger picking acoustic. I'm nearly 20 now and I feel its time to pull my head outa my anus.

Haha! Irony is a beatiful thing.

Just an educated guess, but I think you'll find that once you start on your music course, you'll find yourself much more motivated to study intensively and revise. I find that I study pretty hard for the subjects that I enjoy and that are taught well, and that I'm more likely to neglect the ones I'm not so enthusiastic about.

Well spoken LATS! Agree. Don't p*ss away your time now. If you do, you'll find yourself scrambling too hard later. Take this from experience.

Me too. I've always had such an easy time with subjects that I was interested in. If not, man it was tough. MATH (or any math related subject) just drove me nuts. Find now that I can do it a lot easier but back in school, wow.

Good for you. Now you're talking. Ambition can be a good thing.

For life is quite absurd and death's the final word, You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.
