We need another moderator for the open discussion forum.

Please let me know if you are interested. We need some one who is here every day, who doesn't get angry, who can police our most active board without taking things personally.

I come here nearly every day to get guitar tricks. Hardly ever post, though. Usually just lurk around. But it'd be different if I were a mod ;)

Zeppelin gets my vote. He's almost as susceptible to anger as any of us, but he's civilized about expressing it.

I realised that in my first post I neglected to include numbers, so I had to make up for it.

I come here at least 3 days a week every week. Does that qualify me? Are you getting annoyed that people are applying through this thread and not e-mailing you, like you asked?

Thanks for the great response. A LOT of members volunteered to help out.

I picked zeppelin and educatedfilm for this forum. I think they will do well.


This time last year, we had about 1000 members. Now we have 13000. Wow. I couldn't even guess why that happened. We need mods now way more than we did before.

Anyway, a lot of hosts were put in as moderators more or less against their will. I just needed more help than we had. So, I am going to send them a note asking if they mind stepping aside.

A lot of spots will open up. If you're interested in moderating one of the other forums, I'd like to hear from you.

Here are the guidelines to become a moderator
1. at the site generally every day.
2. has been a member for at least 6 months.
3. doesn't fight with other members, get angry, or use the word "sucks" or the word "lame".

If you are interested, send an email to webmaster@guitartricks.com. Be sure to include your username in the email, verify that you meet the guidelines, and tell me whether you would moderate any or only certain forums.

by the way, I almost banned bardsley before i figured out it was a joke. which was pretty funny, really. ironic.

I broke my arm and moved to a new apt, sorry it took so long to get this done. slow typing and no dsl.

Understandable. Carple Tunnel and dial up wreak havoc with my internet life. Hope you don't accidently try to use your arm too soon ('cause we all know how much that hurts).
