Does anyone know if loosing that little wire that holds your saddles down will effect your intonation and possibly tuning? thanks

The adjustment screw is what sets the intonation. Just be careful when you change your strings.

One at a time, OK?

you misunderstood me i can set my intonation. what i meant was i think my G saddle is a little unstable since i lost that spring that lays across the saddle screws.but just the G.so when i press on the that string to hard i think it is moving the saddle.ive changed nut hights back in forth.and just about every thing i can think of my neck has a enough relief so i know its probably not the truss rod.its i think ill just by a new tun-o-matic with out that wire crap any ways my rig is a ebony epi LP custom ive upgraded tp-6 tailpiece 57 classic at the neck and a plus at the bridge they sound great and im digging that PAF vibe ive even shielded every inch of all cavities with metal duct tape you know the the stuff they use for ac ducts.just when i get all this done i loose that retainer. figures.any ways ive checked intonation at 12th.ect all seems well untill i play a D then i hear the G out of tune. ive been playing for about 16 years now mostly hobby a little stage stuff.i guess its a curse when you can hear every little descrepancy in your tone these beginners are lucky there so tone def.well ive rabbled on long enough. feel free to drop a line

If the intonation is right just pour some elmers glue on the entire thing and let dry. No more moving but I would replace soon as I could.

You can buy new springs for that bridge. Check Stewart MacDonald. You do need the springs for the bridge to function properly.
