Buddy of mine just picked up a battery powered amp by Alesis, a 15 watt solid state with a lot of built in effects. Not to impressed with the effects, but it sounds pretty good clean and the reverb is not bad.

It seems to have a lot of presets, we could sit there and try to map the presets, but neither of us has the time to do that. Have been to the Alesis site, didn't find much on what all the presets might be. Just looking for a list if it exists anywhere, been searching around a bit, and googling, not much luck yet, guess that wasn't noted as a very impressive amp.

It has a motorcycle type battery in it, and it recharges every time it is plugged in, and it seems to last about 5 hrs down at some of the beach gigs we've tried it out at.

Anybody got an idea on a list of presets?

I'm not gonna be much help, but I just wanted to say that a battery powered amp is a new concept by me. Sounds cool though. Use it on road trips or something. Beach trips even. Endless possibilities really. Anyways, good luck.

Here's another one I've used, the Fender Amp In A Can , smaller unit, battery doesn't last quite as long between charges, about 2 hrs, but it is small and easy to pack around, and has pretty good sound, although not all that loud. Works well for small outdoor parties where it don't gotta be that loud. I've carried it to parties on a motorcycle and with my ol lady on there too....

The battery powered deal is pretty cool though....
