Yamaha make solid axes if you ask me - I have one of their old classical acoustics, and it's great. As for electrics, the SA2200 is one of the coolest guitars I have ever laid eyes on (and been lucky enough to have a go with), and the AES single-cuts and the RGX hardtails are quite good as well.
