Hey, The names Jeremy. I live in Winnipeg, Mb, Canada. I got my first electric when I was 15 and it was a Fender Strat, Im now 18 and I have that very same guitar, After three years of playing I still know nothing and have next to no guitar knowledge and now at 18 im finally taking it serious, I have to much free time and im in love with music to much to throw away more years on not practising.

Im a huge fan of Metalcore and Death Metal (Mathcore as well), I love brilliant guitar work and wish to one day obtain the same magic.

Were should I start, I know jack all. All I have is a Marshall amp, My guitar, a tuner and lots of time on my hands so suggest anything to me.

Machine heads other wise called tuners may be loose or bad Try to tighten them or replace them with a high end (Not Cheap) tuner. like Grover

You might need to learn how to string the guitar better.
ie, windings and stretching etc..
Not stretching the strings is usually the cause of it going out of tune constantly unless there's an actual mechanical problem with the guitar.

Click'm.

By the way, hunter, it's funny you should say that. I'm in this mini-university thing this week taking a philosophy course (or a week of it anyway), and today I had to watch a half-hour movie about Pythagoras. It was sort-of interesting, but even more sort-of boring.

Learning to read sheet music is not the easiest route to take, but it really isn't that hard. I learned by memorizing one or two frets a day and whenever i had spare time or was walking around would think them as fast as I could in my head. Velll velcome and good luck!
