Hey Bro, My advice would be not to spend any money on Legal Representation. Without being on the lease, you don't have a leg to stand on, that is if you are over 18 years old. That's why the Law Firm you contacted didn't have anyone available once you were screened by a Paralegal. The Landlord will more than likely have a stipulation in the Lease agreement giving them the right to evict anyone not stated in the Contract and may have you Lawfully escorted from the premises. If it gets to that point, your Sister may be liable to pay the legal fees burdoned by the Landlord for breaking the Lease agreement and you could get an eviction clause on your record.
I'm sure the accusations against you by the Landlord are to legally protect them with the "Right for Refusal" by not adding you to the Lease, avoiding any act of discrimination by probable cause.
Sorry for all this to happen, especially with a new baby, but I would move immediately Bro, before things get ugly.
