I almost forgot, but today is the one-year anniversary of the Greasy Knots.
Ironically, we're not playing tonight, even though it is a practice night. :)
I command you all to celebrate. Woohoo!
Greasy Knots Day!

I'm guessing that's your band :p Congrates man, i'm no where near good enough on guitar to be in a band, but I could do it as a drummer  and hopefully soon i'll be good enough on the guitar.

Oh man, it really has.
We actually played together randomly for about a year before we decided to practice twice a week and give ourselves a name and all that jazz.
It's so weird...before that we were just kids who weren't even into music that much. It was just like "Hey, let's start a band," and we did. And we wrote a bunch of songs that I feel are good songs, which kinda blows my mind when I think how we're just high-school kids who have only been into music for a few years.
And we played our first show with fairly famous (around here, anyway) bands. And we played our second show to basically no one. And we entered a garage band contest for a chance to make a professionally-produced demo, and we didn't even make it to round two.
What a crazy year.

It was sufficient. I feel mom jokes, as terrible as they are, are necessary in situations like these.

In celebration, my mom made us three GK cookies in the shape of CDs that were roughly the size of our heads. They were intended for practice, but I ended up bringing them to school today instead. It was nice because it may be the closest we ever get to a CD with our name on it. :)
Thanks for the well-wishings and side conversations, everyone. Here's to another year of improbable events.

You go outside and practice screaming. We'll play music while you're gone.
