tempo on Digietch jam man

Hi guys, can you help me? I have a Digitech Jam man, it's an awesome tool for jamming and learning and such, but unfortunately it only has tap tempo, and I cant set a tempo, which sucks, as with the band, we jam to a metronome.

Is there any way I could hook this up to a metronome or something and get it to synch?
I dont want to have to tap perfectly in time...as after a while, as close as I get it, it's always a tiny bit out, and this gap grows and grows as time goes on.

so anyone still understand what I am talking about?

I'm sure there is a way, maybe synching it with a midi clock or something? I have no idea how I would do that tho...
