New Guitar?

hey, i'm looking for suggestions on a new electric. This will be used as a band guitar and we mainly play metal, garage and phycedelic(excuse spelling). At the moment im using an epiphone les paul studio and it doesn't relly cut it. Preferably something inexpensive and with humbuckers. Btw how would an Sg do for these purposes?
