Haha, Perhaps I'm being a bit humble, but in fairness, Joyce kicks the living crap out of me. Allowing myself to be compared to him would really display an extreme overconfidence in my own writing. I have flaws; he was almost completely without them.

Okay, perhaps. But allow me this; do you have examples of his writing when he was your age? My assessment, although meant sincerely, may be a bit of speculation since I am no Joyce expert, but I doubt that Joyce was turning out what you're writing now when he was a young man. I could be wrong I guess.

In other words, you're a helluva writer Jolly. Look forward to a long and fruitful career. :)

Let's see, he wrote a failed novel, "Stephen Hero," at around my age. After that he wrote Dubliners, which is better than my schtuff.
