Dude, who's got an opinion on the best out of these thrash bands?

Please.... Metallica was doing it when everyone else was in grade school... with the exception of Slayer... but I'm not big on Slayer.

And Slipknot doesn't even compare to any band in that list.

My opinions.

Slayer never stopped thrashing. With the exception of their punk covers album tributing their roots, all of their albums keep to what they do best...no shameful "Load" ventures. And not many bands can turn a crowd of thousands into an expansive pit, like what happens with (among others) "Angel of Death".

True.

I never dismissed Slayer as a GREAT thrash band... I just prefer the early days of Metallica... that's all.

Slayer's most influential and important music is their full-on thrash stuff, but strangely enough, I like their less thrashy stuff the best: I think South of Heaven is their best album.
