Price: $1,299 Bought at Guitar Center new

Features:
Double-cutaway beveled mahogany body
Set mahogany neck with rounded profile
Bound rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays
Tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece
Chrome hardware
490R humbucker in the neck position
498T humbucker in the bridge position
2 volume knobs, 2 tone knobs, 3-way switch
24-3/4" scale
came with Gibson hardshell case

Pros: sounds great, easy neck to get around on, light as a feather, made in America!!!

Cons: neck pickup can get a little muddy on overdrive

Tone: superb
Playability: like buttah
I love this guitar, I had to intonate the A and high E string but the action was low(and I lowered it more :D )
I get Angus tone by going straight into my amp on the dirt channel, it has great clean sounds as well. The neck pickup sounds incredible clean but can get a bit muddy on overdrive. It is the easiest to play guitar I have played outside a Yamaha SG. The action is very fast. People with giant mits may not care for it though. All in all I think I made a good investment on this one.

Dear Hef, Good one!!!!!!! LOL
An easy diet is to get some heat lamps and set them up when you practice, or you can just drink H2O for a month. They say if you season the water with Lawry's, it tastes like steak. Angus steak that is.

What a beauty! Sounds like a joy to play!

What's it like as far as staying in tune goes? I've heard that SGs can be a little temperamental in that regard...

it does alright...the G goes out sometimes with after a bending frenzy...but other than that it does alright. I will get a real setup next month from a luthier.

Very Nice!! I have been debating getting an SG next. So if you do not mind I might have a question or two for you in the future. I love the sound I hear on Benoit Nadeau's Lessons. I was going to ask him about his sound thru his SG.
Once again Very Nice!!

I played the 61 reissue at guitar center. Probably the greatest experience of my life. It was so awesome, I didn't even care about the price tag of 1,800. It felt sooo great. Easily the lightest SG ever. The 60's slim taper neck made me want to hug someone. It was an emotional moment for me. Me being a fender guy and all, it was just the best of both worlds.
