I don't know if any of you were a fan, but comedian Richard Jeni died. Apparent suicide they are saying. I'd seen him a few times. One of the funniest stand-up's in the country and his star was on the rise. How sad. :(

Platypus Man was one of the most brilliant comic specials ever. It's crazy that he's gone.

Of all things, the human psyche is among the most fragile. Some peoples brains are just wired differently. Not everyone is built using the same schematics... I've known quite a few people that have to take medication to adjust their moods... people that are manic depressive or bipolar. Those are very serious mental and medical conditions that can play havoc on someones mind if not kept in serious check... A lot of suicide cases are the direct result of undiagnosed mental conditions. It's hard for someone that's never experienced it to imagine the feeling of being "clinically depressed". It's something that I can't imagine myself.

It's a sad thing.
