We did it. We were the first band of seven bluegrass band that performed at a benefit bluegrass festival to raise money for project graduation. We were all scared to death, made some mistakes, forgot some words but we made it. I got all the rest of the bands lined up for the show and they even donated all their time. The bluegrass festival along with the BBQ sales, (BBQ from the Rib Crib), Raffles, and silent auctions raised almost $5000. 402 tickets were sold for the event.
We even had some locally famous people show up to listen. Rodney Dillard (guitar player for the Darlin family on the Andy Griffith show) came to listen to the music. One of the bands, New Blue Yonder, did a great job. These girls have some of the best harmonies I've heard. You can check them out at this web site. http://shorock.com/folk/newblue/index.html .
A lot of people are talking the 2nd Annual festival already for next year.
If we do it again next year you all have to show up for it.
Thanks for the support and words of encouragemant.

Good work man...

And even if you didn't get the money, at least you helped make it... ! I think probably only family and friends came to my 2nd gig...
