I don't fully understand that either - like you, I've always thought of AJFA as the most intense and aggressive album they ever made. Like Grizzly said, I think a lot of people don't listen to it because the lyrics and the song structure were so different from those on the first three albums, rather than because they think it's not metal enough. Personally, I really like the approach they took to AJFA.
