I use the ZOOM G series with USB connection.

You get a heap of amp models/simulation. It also has the BOSS Metal Zone model in it too, and sounds pretty much identical.

I reckon it's good for the price.

What you want to do is try to get a nice clean signal into the PC right? Well I think just using a Metal Zone pedal itself will cause a lot of unwanted noise so you would want to use a noisegate with it, and also some compression too.

Unless you dont have any of these pedals, I reckon get something like the Zoom G series or similar as you get nice clear signals from the unit with Drive amp models(Metal Zone), compression and Noise reduction which is a great thing Zoom has.

Good luck
