Hello all, I am pretty new to equipment, yesterday I put in a Dimarzio Mo'Joe in the bridge pickup and a PAF joe in the Neck. I think the sound is a ton warmer, has anyone else done this. I have a js100 (well with the pickup's now it's pretty much the js1000)

Cool man... I love JSs

My JS1000s have Freds in the bridge and PAF Pros in the neck. The main difference between the 100 and 1000 is the compound neck radius...

Yeah, I love my JS, it preforms very well and I was lucky enough to get a white one. it's kinda funny I resemble Joe alot with all the hair gone LOL.

So you have a 1000 Then, have you played the 100 with stock AH/2 pickups? I think the sound is a lot more full and rounded

Actually no, I've never played a JS100 so will have to take your word for it. The pickup upgrade has got to be good news, and if it makes it sound more like mine its got to be good in my opinion... :D

Sweet that you got one in white as well....

Interesting...really, DiMarzio pick-ups??? :D

I've always been trying to emulate something close to Joe's sound with all these pedals I've purchased. I can get these pickups from Musicians Friend so I see. I'm going to upgrade soon. I have a GRG170DX. I'm very pleased with it thus far. Any suggestions how these humbuckers/pickups will behave on my guitar???

Great thread... :)

Yeah the pickups rock, they are less forgiving the then the stock pickups and were pretty easy to put in. I put the PAF Joe on the Neck and Mo'Joe on the bridge, nice harmonics now and easy to play them :D Also taking a Wah pedal and keeping it at top position will add more harmonics to the sound and much easier to play pinch harmonics. I think the next thing will be looking into a true floyd Rose tremelo system. let me know how those work for you. I got the pickups for a local store were 70 each

I love the JS series.

Have been wanting to buy one for about 15 years. Still haven't yet though.

Actually tried the JS1000 last year. I found that the whammy/trem bar was too short. It wasn't the same as I always thought.

Or maybe it was just that particular model.

Anyways tho, great guitars!!
