Ozzy Film / Bio Staring Johnny Depp

I heard Johnny Depp was going to play the Oz man in a movie about his life?
Anyone else heard of this?

I would definitely prefer Jack Black to Colin Farrell... but I actually think that Jack White, of all people, looks a lot like Ozzy! :eek:

I honestly wouldn't want to see Jack Black as Ozzie... unless it was going to be a comedy... I have a hard time taking drama seriously when it's being played by someone that I laugh at... and Jack Black is starting to get slightly annoying to me... Johnny Depp would do the character much more justice, in my opinion. I know Jack Black is a good actor as well as a comedian. But, Johnny is an infinitely better actor... (see: Blow, Donnie Brasco, The Libertine, Finding Neverland, Secret Window, From Hell, Sleepy Hollow, hell... even Edward Scissorhands).

Colin Farrel is good too.... but I can't see him pulling off Ozzy at all. He's too pretty faced to play a metal God.

What I found interesting, if you look at early pics of ozzy with sabbath, I think Kid rock bears a strong resemblance. Can't really act tho.

I would say Johnny Depp should definitely play ozzy. Jack black is awesome and everything, but not a good ozzy. Johnny depp is a great actor, and is very chameleon like in his roles. Compare Pirates of the carribean to finding neverland. I think he would do the roles justice.

I don't think Daniel Craig is flamboyant enough to play Ozzy - I think he'd be worse than Farrell in that way. Jack Black could probably nail the character, but he doesn't look enough like him... so I think Johnny Depp is the best option mentioned so far. Perhaps Jack Black could play Geezer Butler, and Daniel Craig could play Bill Ward - he looks more like him than he does Ozzy, I think!
