Guys! Do you have any guitar exercises (in any genre) in order to improve proper fingerpicking? And do you have paterns in fingerpicking especially plucking or playing the lead guitar? Thanks for the effort of replying to this thread!!!

I use the thumb to pick the three bassy string E, A, D.
And the first finger for the 3rd
The second finger for the 2nd
And the third finger for the 1st
if you always take the lazy route

There are many great fingerpicking lessons on guitartricks, here's a few links.

For classical music I would recommend looking at Christopher Schlegel. Christopher has many tutorials on specific songs.

If you are a beginner at fingerpicking I suggest Lisa McCormick's tutorial

Bobby Howe's also have great section for fingerpicking

Then if you are looking for a challenge, take a look at some hybrid picking by Ben Lindholm

Exercises
Mauro Giuliani (classical composer) made an excellent collection of picking exercises. Just the same 2 easy chords for the fret hand, but 120 different variations on the picking. Starts out easy, but gets progressively harder challenging even advanced players.
