Just curious what movie had a long lasting effect on you after viewing it.
(I'm also bored as hell doing rex file conversions and need a break)

For me it'd probably be Blade Runner. First movie I ever rented and first time I ever used a VCR. Totally blew me away but also disappointed me when the voice-over came in cause it spoiled the mood.
Was really glad that years later there was a directors cut without the voice-over. Except he cut out the part where he pops the guys eyes out with his thumbs. The thing I remember most is about half way through the movie, realizing that I could actually put it on pause to go to the bathroom.
It sounds stupid now, but up until then, you were stuck watching a movie from beginning to end cause VCR's were about $1500.

Now it's freaky... I've got a DVR that records about 200 hours worth of stuff (after switching the hard drive for a 300gb) and have 180 shows and movies taped that I haven't watched yet.
Plus I haven't watched a commercial in over a year.

Hey, I'm rambling. woohoo....
I love cheese!!
