Build your own amp (?)

Anyone tried building one of these http://www.ampmaker.com/ak01x.asp ? (or a similar kit)

I think it would be a fun thing to do, however im a bit concerned about high voltages and that kind of stuff. Getting yourself killed kinda takes the fun out of it :D

You'd get a kickass amp @ a low cost + a nice experience building it. hmm

I built an 18 wat based off the marshall design. If you are concerned with the high voltages, then I don't recommend doing it. It is a decent design however

Read up on safe electrical practices and you should be able to gain a decent amount of info to keep yourself safe... The biggest thing is just 'Test Before Touching'..... never touch anything unless you've tested it twice.

I'm in the trade and this is the best advise I could give for electricity. If you follow this one rule you should be fine.
