Hey there,

Just bought myself a new Zoom effects pedal the other day.

ZOOM G2.1u

It's not such a bad thing I reckon.

I can use it to record directly into the computer via USB, it actually acts as an audio interface which I think is quite kool.

I would like to share a sample of this with everyone.

Enter Sandman solo recorded only with the Zoom effect. No post-processing was done. It's just fresh out of the Zoom box :)

Enter Sandman with ZOOM

Enjoy

meh, not my cup of tea for tone. There's way way too much chorus effect. Great playing though :o. Also, please go back and read the guidelines for this section of the forum and edit your post to follow them. Thanks.

As eric said nice playing, bout the tone in my personal taste it needs a bit more agression a bit more of cutting edge but it does a nice job.

A friend has the same unit, and plays tru a Peavey KB amp (more like a small PA) and work nice but I like it more on clean sounds, IMHO adding a good distortion pedal should do the trick to add a bit more of crunch and to tight things up.

To be honest for PC recording, and all the things it comes with this unit has a great feature/value proportion.
Power corrupts. Absolute power is kinda neat.

I would suggest loosing the chorus, and boosting the mids.... all the way up :D

The zoom G series is a far improvment on the old 505s 707's etc.. While I was looking for a muti-fx in the 400-600 price range i ended up getting the zoom g7.1ut it seems to sound alot nicer then the digitech and even the boss me-50 the biggest plus for the G7 is personaly the tone diference between my real cry baby and my g7's is very small. But then again I sold that a few months ago :( . Plus it came with Cubase  well cubase le but thats good enough for me at home :p
