Hey guys,
I just traded in my GT-Pro and a Yamaha SPX1000 effects unit for a Rocktron Prophesy II... !!!!!!!!! :-)

This is the piece of gear I have always wanted, it might just replace my entire rig. It's the only unit I have ever heard that perfectly replicates serious pro engineered studio tones with Eventide quality effects. To give you an idea of the sound quality, I would rank a PODxt 1, a GNX4 2 and a GT-Pro 3 out of 10 (compared to this unit)... the Prophecy II gets a full 10.

Soundclips to follow, I'm re-recording my latest track entirely through this unit and will post it in the next week or so. In the mean time check out the clip from Outworld (Rusty Cooley's band) on www.rocktron.com - all 100% Prophesy II.

I havent felt this excited about a piece of gear ever... if you get a chance check one out for a test drive in the local guitar shop.

I was reading a review of that just yesterday, it looks like one sweet piece of kit! I think my next guitar processor is going to be a better floor-mounted unit, but if I was going to get something rack-mounted, the Prophecy(sy?) would definitely be an option.

Well you can hook up a midi controller with up to 16 patch settings and a wah/expression pedal to this unit too so for live work all you have to do is put it out of harms way and you can use te floor unit like a stomp box. Sweet!

I didn't know you could do that - that's awesome!

But a Digitech effects unit is cheaper - student budget, unfortunately :(
