For anyone out there whos got a thing for Japanese bands and metal you should check out Dir En Grey. Kinda like x-japan meets bowie meets deftones + blood/gore if you like metal you should give em a chance. another intern at umgd just gave me their live album and they actually have a pretty tight show, hard to tell its live. They have a new album coming out on the 20th of feb "the marrow of a bone" track-------------------------------------------->http://concreteplanet.com/cornerstream/andromeda.php?q=m&m=%2FDEG%2F01Agitated%2Emp3 or just check out their myspace (www.myspace.com/officialdirengrey) comments?

I saw them at the Family Values tour and was like "WTF is this ****?!" I like to hear a lot of stuff and don't mind the different languages, hell I listen to Italian folk every now and then, but they just didn't do it for me.

yeah, they're a little gorey. I've just been into j-bands like x-japan since I was a kid and metal bands like the locust and pig destroyer for the last few years. So the fact that there is a synthesis of the two making headway in the american mainstream gets me pretty pumped.
