Hi, Im a new memeber so I hope I have got the write place to post this in...Basically my band is playing in 'Battle of the Bands' in a few weeks, and I have been left to play the guitar solo to the piano instrumental in Layla. I was just wondering if anyone could send me some versions of them soloing over the backing track, because I have never written a solo before and I'd really appreciate any ideas, also because I know that there is so much potential here for an amazing solo.
I would have tried the slide solo as in the recording, but I don't have a slider, have never used one and I don't have as many frets as Clapton in the recording.
