Compressors

Are compressors worth the money? I can get one for ~60 canadian, and i know they make all your notes come out at a uniform volume. Waht good does this do tho?

actually, a compressor can boost your sustain and volume. They work really well w/ a good overdrive pedal. It really all depends on your style, and what you want to do.

Compressers will also amplify the slightest amound of fret buzz that your guitar may have. Also, keep in mind that single coils pickups + overdive/distortion/any amount of gain + a compresser = a ton of hiss and hum .
