...what the heck are those little green boxes up yonder, and why do some people have 2 and some have 1? I hover my mouse over it and they have all either said "so and so is a wealth of guitar knowledge" or "so and so has made some friends around here." What the h is it?

It's all in the post feedback... clicking on the scales above a post lets you rate it positive or negative (rep points)... The green blocks and comments about making friends or wealth of knowledge are connected to the rep points... no prizes for post numbers as far as I know...

We used to have a members list, but some bot was trying to download it for some reason. The admin Jon had to take it down to relieve the server. It used to be able to list us by rep count and post count. That was a time the rep points almost meant something. Since it got taken down it lost a bit of its gusto. I still have my 2 dots though. Muahahaha!

Negative ratings result in red boxes, but I've only ever seen one person with one. They're pretty hard to get without being banned first.
