it is different. it has 3 volume knobs for each pickup and a universal tone knob. with the switch in the mid position it activates all 3 and in the other positions it activates bridge/mid. or neck/mid. so if you want just bridge or neck you need to turn off volume on the mid. pickup.....i really liked the way it felt in my paws.
