Ok, so you have a bass amp and want to play your guitar through a Boss Gt6, into this bass amp? and a salesman told you it wouldnt work? sounds like he was trying to make a sale.

Your guitar should be absolutely fine played through a bass amp, however, obviosuly the sound will be slightly different than it would through a guitar amp (or any other amp for that matter). Basically, you have to decide if you like the noise it makes or not, but if you really just want to avoid having to buy a new amp, the bass amp will be perfect.
As for losing the highend, that sounds like bollocks to me...I've played through many a bass amp and always had quite a nice high end (although all of the bass amps I've played through had horns, as my brother, who owns the amps, plays very high on the neck alot of the time).

Anyway, give it a try and see if you like it. Many famous players play through bass products, most notably, David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, who has had an Alembic bass preamp in his rack for the last 3 decades.

So you think I should buy the effectpedal, plug my guitar into the pedal.. and the pedal into my bass amp??

I think I will try it with my guitar at the music shop.. so I can hear the good and bad things :)

Thanx for the info :D
