Another guitar that is very affordable is the LTD line. These are a branch of ESP right? Another friend of mine bought one at a pawn shop for $200.00 It list for $325 new. Dont remember the model, but it was a great playing guitar. Even has EMG81's. Dont know if those are stock though.
