I say get an Epiphone pack! Well that was more out of spite than anything aschleman. :p If you can go down to a guitar store and try the different options you have just to see what fits you best. A Squire is a great place to start as well. Just don't let some Fender lover come along and tell you what to get. In the end it's your money like he said. Keep your options open.
