I am playing 'dumbed down' jazz type gigs using a Peavey Rage 158 (My Marshall 212 50w combo is definitely unsuitable :D )
This was fine until the last job where we played in a larger hall.
So now I'm thinking I should up things a bit to a 20-30watt 1 speaker combo type amp with maybe a few more bells & whistles.
Being Christmas & all the idea has met with provisional approval from the War Office.
So I'm thinking I can't go too far wrong with a Fender, but a salesman I spoke to is all for a Roland Cube 30. Now the other guitarist in our little group has a Roland and it sounds fine.
I was also thinking Randall but the sales guy panned it.
What do you think guys? Fender or Roland or anything else good?
