Been messing around with the Satch tune, The Crush of Love.

Here's my first mix.

Still have to add some guitar fills after the 3:35 mark as the tune fades out.
The Crush of Love

Hows the mix so far?

Beatcraft on drums
Mixcraft on recording and mixing
Tube preamp into soundcard
Guitar Rig for effects.

I'm by far no expert on mixing, but it seemed the lead was either too loud or the rest of the backing was too quiet. Still, good job!

Cool stuff, good melody. I agree with R. Shackleferd on this one. Try bringing up the background a little.

You nailed the tone and all that so big ups on that.

I'm very familiar with this song... but I hadn't tried to learn it until tonight after I listened to your version... Pretty cool stuff, didn't realize how simplistic most of that song is... But it definitely sounds cool with a wah!! Good job

Thanks guys.

It depends on the sound system.
I have listened on 3 so far and it sounds different on each.

Very nice indeed! I do however have to agree with everybody else though... The backing instruments (minus the drums) could be brought up in the mix just a tad. Or, maybe giving the rhythm guitars a little more spread from center might help. Not too much, but maybe something like 25% left and right, and leave the bass centered, and the drums just like they are. I'm listening on a pair of M-Audio BX8 monitors.
