Last night I finished reading "Mother Night." I think it may very well be my favourite novel of his, of the ones I've read. Which, just for the record, I will include.
Mother Night
Slaughterhouse-Five
Galapagos
Player Piano
Breakfast of Champions
Bagombo Snuff Box (short story compilation)

Check out "The Sirens of Titan". More fun from the Tralfamadorians.

I LOVED 'Breakfast of Champions' and more recently 'Man without a country'. Of course, like all Kurt fans, I find it difficult not to like just about everything he has done. 'Welcome to the monkey house' is a great compilation too.
I saw him give a lecture at Heinz Hall here in Pittsburgh several years ago and found him to be a brilliant, funny, engaging, sincere and open person. Kinda like a favorite uncle you would like sit on the back porch with on a summer evening, knock a few beers back and listen to him tell stories. If you ever get a chance to hear him speak, go. You won't regret it. I don't.

Believe me, if I ever get a chance, I'll be there. I actually only found out he was still alive about a week ago. Somewhere along the line I got it in my head that he had died just a couple years back.
