Sweet axe!

How do you like having the PAF Pro in both positions?

It weighs 8.48lbs (3.85kg). I don't know what a Gibson SG weighs.

You're right it's 'meatier'. This is because I found that the blank had warped a bit and would not yield enought thickness after squaring the surfaces off.

My 'go to' guy Chris Burn an experienced woodworker suggested the centre laminate (which should be clear in the photos) to give required thickness & complementary grain patterns on front & back surfaces.

So long ago I'd forgotten..LOL!!

Of course this produces an extremely edgy mellowness, out of control feedback which is really easy to manage and ....you guessed it...bucketloads of extra sustain. :D

Just joking.

Thankis for your comments.

I've had a bit of a work out by now.

I'm fine with both pickups. After a minimum of adjustment they're giving really even output across the selection.

I'm not a huge fan of the coil cut on either guitar since the volume drops and needs to be adjusted..that's normal..I just don't like doing it.

However the bridge pickup is not as badarse as the bridge pickup on the LP double cut. I've never heard one quite so...well..it's subjective isn't it..Fat mean & nasty. :D

Amazing job there Rob! That lighter colored middle piece really adds a special touch to the aesthetics of the guitar! I am very impressed! Sexiest SG I've ever seen :D
